This kite is very easy to fly. My kids love it and can keep it in the air for hours if they choose. Very durable and colorful. A good buy.

I got this to fly with my daughter. It’s really easy to get into the air. We went out on a breezy day, and it was actually a bit too windy for the kite. It goes up with the slightest breeze and hangs nice. It’s not as stable in gusty winds. We had gusts around 15-20mph which got the fabric flapping around pretty good, and made it a little difficult to control. During the calm times it was great. You can stand still and control it with one arm.

It’s really pretty when the sun shines through the nylon fabric. The construction is also pretty good with heavier nylon pockets for the poles.

I’d say it’s worth spending a few extra dollars to get a real kite over one of those cheap plastic drug store triangles. This is a great first kite which won’t frustrate a child (or adult) trying to get it into the air.

It came with a few hundred feet of a fairly heavy weight nylon string.

This is a great kite, easy to fly in a low wind. I got it for my 3 year old daughter and she did very well with it.

I got this for my three year old daughter and she loved it. She still struggles with flying it on her own, but I found it very easy for me to fly. It has beautiful colors and ample string. We did get it stuck a tree already! Not the kites fault, but that was aggravating! I didn’t want to lose such a great kite. Luckily it came down overnight and we were able to save it.

I would definitely buy this one again. The string holder is difficult for my 3 year old. She can do it, but not without complaining most of the time. I think the holders that look like short rolling pins would be easier for her to handle.

    Highly recommended.

This kite is beautiful and VERY EASY to fly. My daughter can control it without help. It is the perfect kite for the inexperienced kite flyers (like us). Can’t wait for summer vacation at the beach!

I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old and 1 1/2 year old to play with at the park. With a light wind, I can launch it with my hand – no need to play out lots of line, run, or anything — just hold it over my head and let go. I have flown it up to the limit of the provided string — I think it’s about 300′, but it’s most fun to fly it lower where the kids can see it better. At really low altitudes it can drop quickly when the wind changes, but you can pull on the string or run to keep it up. If I fly it up to about 80′ or more where it’s more stable, my 2 1/2 year old can hold it. If I pull it in to about 10′, I can run around the park with it flying just overhead, buzzing the toddlers with the tail. It doesn’t handle violent wind and gusts well, but it’s not intended for that. It’s so easy it might get boring for someone capable of handling multi-string stunt kites, but for any Charlie Brown, this is the right kite. There are other kites that fly easily, but these Easy Flyers are also supposed to have lighter line pull, making it less likely to pull or jerk the string out of a child’s hand. Still, for under 5 year olds I do most of the flying. Therefore I’m going to try some helium balloons on the kite string instead. I’m also keen to try a KongMing lantern. Our area is popular for hot air ballooning and maybe when the kids are older we could build an RC balloon. A kite like this can get a lot of things started. Enjoy.

This kite takes off before you even let the string out! Very nice compared to another kite we have that we can only get off the ground in strong winds. I’d say this one is good for all ages. We are glad we bought it so that our son will think kindly of kite-flying.

This is a great, easy to fly kite. And beautiful too. It’s easy to put together and fold up – you insert the cross bar to put it together, then remove it to fold it up. The cross bar is the only piece that is removable (that can be lost). Great first kite. Comes with string (don’t know how much) and a handle device that you can wind the string around.

    Highly recommended.
